Waterford city was founded by the Vikings around 852AD and is a treasure trove of historic attractions, ancient cobbled streets and a charming harbour. Christ Church Cathedral

Christ Church Cathedral. This neo-classical Georgian cathedral, which claims to be the only one of its kind in Ireland, was built in the 11th century. As well as being a building of amazing architectural significance, it’s also a prime venue for concerts, exhibitions and recitals.
Waterford Museum of Treasures
Also located in the city at Merchant’s Quay is the

Waterford County Museum
In the picturesque town of
Dungarvan in west County Waterford is where you’ll find the
Waterford County Museum. It’s located in the Town Hall and is a museum dedicated to preserving the history of Dungarvan and Waterford. Here you’ll see an exhibition of historical artefacts, genealogy, maritime history and lots more. The museum also plays host to travelling exhibitions, lectures and field trips.
Scenic Drive
If you want to get a real glimpse of Waterford, then we suggest you drive along the ‘Copper Coast’. This
scenic drive will take you from Tramore, through 6 pretty Irish villages, finally ending up in Dungarvan. Along the way, you will be amazed by the scenery – with golden beaches on one side and the magnificent Comeragh Mountains on the other.
